Dehradun - Har-Ki-Doon Trek
 
Altitude : 3,566 Metres
Motorable : 199 km (one way)
Trek : 44km (one way) Can be shortened by 23 km if one have jeep ( drive 23 km from Netwar to Taluka).
Duration : 9/10 days.
Important : Bedding is not available at Forest Rest Houses/Bgalows en-route. For reservation D.F.O., Tons Forest Dvn., Purola (Distt. Uttarkashi) may be contacted.


Day 01 : Dehradun - Netwar (1,900m) 199 km

Netwar is also spelled as Naitwar. Trekkers to Har-ki-Doon can procure rice, flour, potato, cooking oil, eggs etc. (except tin foods) from Netwar.

Cooking is not necessary at Taluka where Hut-Hotel can serve meals at short notice.


Day 02 :
Taluka (1,900 M) - Osla (2.559 M) 11 km

Two kilometres, trek to Osla village, visit the temple. Again trek 2 km to Osla Forest Rest House for night halt.


Day 03 :
Osla (2,559 M) - Har-ki-Doon (3,566 M) 8 km

Overnight in Forest Rest House.


Day 04: Trek around Har-ki-Doon valley, forests, meadows and return back to location (F.R.H.)


Day 05: Har-ki-doon - Osla ...8km.


Day 06: Osla - Taluka ...11km


Day 07:
Taluka - Netwar - Mussoorie/Dehradun. (Motorable)

Jaundhar Glacier: About 8 km from the north of Har-ki-Doon valley, the total trek is enjoyable upto 5 km along the river and valley, after 3 km trek upto the Glacier is tiresome.
Barsu Valley: Left north of Har-ki-Doon there is Barsu valley, home of the baral mountain. In this valley there is a Morindatal. The valley is enchanting with natural flowers in July to September.
