Situated in Dehradun district at an elevation of 2,270mts above sea level, Chakrata is a quaint little hill station and a cantonment area situated between Yamuna and Tons River. Chakrata was earlier known as Jaunsar Bawar and the region is mainly populated by Jaunsari tribes. Chakrata is an exquisite hill station situated amidst coniferous, rhododendron and oak trees. It is a charming destination situated away from the hustle bustle of the town offering tranquil environs and salubrious weather. Itinerary from Delhi- Chakrata-2N/3D (310 km)

Day-1: Friday-New Delhi -- Dehradun (230km)-Overnight Journey:

Travel by surface from Delhi to Dehradun.

Day-2: Saturday- Chakrata (Arrival ) —Local Sightseeing

Morning arrival at Dehradun followed by midway breakfast (many eatery options available in Dehradun) will resume our journey to Chakrata which is 90 kms/ 3 hrs drive.After reaching chakrata and check in to hotel/resort followed by Welcome drink on arrival and after Lunch (served at the hotel/resort).visit to kimona waterfall and thana danda peak. Back to hotel, enjoy dinner with bonfire and light music.

Day-3: Sunday-Chakrata-Tiger Fall Trek-Dehradun-Delhi - (310kms):

After breakfast visit tiger fall which is 12 kms by road and 2 kms trek (with packed lunch) reach tiger fall after 2 kms down trek and enjoy natural beauty with lunch and back to hotel for check out and drive to Railway station/ Bus stand or drop to Delhi Special arrangements can be made for night Jungle safari, camping and bird watching.

Climate condition in Chakrata:

Chakrata in summers: During summers the weather of Chakrata remains pleasant and salubrious. Carry light woolens while travelling to Chakrata during summers. . The monsoon months of Chakrata are from July to September. Experience the wilderness of nature during these months. Chakrata in winters: Chakrata receives snowfall during winters and heavy woolens are required. Tranquility and seclusion are at its best during winter months in Chakrata. Snow capped Himalayas are best seen from Chakrata during winters.

How to Reach Chakrata :

Chakrata is a small hill station in Uttarkhand at 2118 metres above sea level. Chakrata does not have a railway station and airport; the only way to reach Chakrata is by road.

Tiger Fall :- After a breathtaking easy journey of 20 kms from Chakrata, Tiger Fall is a water ballad with no equal. Falling gracefully from a height of 50 rnts. Tiger Fall creates a small pond which renders an enchanting effect to the picturesque surroundings. Please be cautious of landslide as it may happen in any season( No board of landslide prone area). If you want to bath under this water fall don't go during the rainy season as the water flow is very high.
