Jim Corbett National Park is appropriately called the heaven of majestic tigers for the fact that it shelters a large population of tigers in its breathtaking landscapes that consists of exotic flora and fauna. Its foundation was led by the legendary hunter turned conservationist Sir Edward Jim Corbett (1875-1955). The first national park of India was established in 1936 to protect the family of Royal Bengal Tiger. The forest of Jim Corbett National Park is dotted with Sal, Peepal and mango trees. More than 73 percent area of the park is covered with the forests of these forests.
