Chitkul is located about 28 kms from Sangla on the banks of River Bapsa, this is an untouched village. Potatoes is the speciallity of this place those who visit this place can buy potatoes from here. A couple of guesthouses are available where you can stay. This tiny village has numerous attractions like Apple orchards,Kagayupa temples,the Shakyamuni Buddha statue,four directional kings on other side of the door of the temple and the most prominent feature of the temple is ‘Wheel of Life Mandala’ this defines the various stages of human life goes through. This village gives experience of heaven on earth as it is not much popular among tourists, this is the last village on the border line of India and China. The holy water of this place have a lot of medical and spiritual powers to cure diseases. River Camps are available, one can take a walk in the village to visit the temples, monasteries, river side and can view the snow capped mountains. Phone signals is very poor here. One can enjoy cup of tea from local tea stalls, can have a snacks and Yak is a common animal of this place.

The temperature ranges from 10 degree to 25 degree Celsius. Weather is very pleasant in summer.

From August to November it is a rainy season and not advisable to visit the place due to rain roads get blocked and landslides danger is there.

The temperature ranges from 4 degree to 15 degree Celsius. Weather is chilled in winter.
Foods
There is no such Restaurants are available but one can enjoy the foods available on dhabas. At this place you will find one Dhaba named “Hindustan ka Akhiri Dhaba”.
