Kibber village

This beautiful village is located in Spiti valley at a height of around 4205 mtrs above sea level. This is a world’s highest motorable village surrounded with landscapes,scenic mountains, cold deserts and meadows. Kibber has similar landscapes just like Ladakh and Tibet. The houses in kibber is built in a Tibetian style, here farming of barley , potatoes,and green peas are the main source of livelihood of the local people. For tourists all the basic amenities like electricity, school, postoffice,hospital, restaurants and hotels are available. Here people also have their occupations , businesses , crafts work like weaving .Other similar villages such as Komic, Hikkim and Langshu can be reached easily from kibber.

Kibber also arrange camping facilities , one can get the home stay options in a reasonable cost. In winters people from this village moved to some other warmer place as temperature drops below freezing point. The village has around 80 houses with less population, one can see yaks grazing in the farm, if you are lucky enough you can catch the site of Himalayan ibex too. If you are looking for a break from the hectic schedule of city life then this is the best place to spend your holiday with your family and friends.

By Road Accessible by road from Manali on the Manali Leh road, also linked by National Highway No. 22 via Shimla.

Best Season to visit
Best time to visit Kibber Village is in Mid June till late October. In winters, it is very cold temperature drops below -20 degrees,it is difficult to travel here.

In summers also one can feel cool , you have to wear heavy wollens in summer as well.

In Monsoon rainfall is almost zero.

Attractions
Parang Pass
It is situated at an altitude of around 5,580 mtrs above sea level. It connects the Spiti Valley with other parts of Ladakh. The Parilungbi River flows on the Spitian side of the pass and the track runs on its side.
Tabo
It is famous for its Monastery has priceless collections of manuscripts & thankas.
Tso Morari Lake
Tso Morari, sometimes it is spelt as Tsomiriri Lake, one of the largest lakes in the Ladakh and is situated at an altitude of about 4900 mtrs. The lake is almost like an inland sea, has a length of about 22 km and a depth of more than 30 m at the deepest point.
